Hello Nunas,
Active Feet are having an information evening and have provided the below details. Please post if you can attend (20 spots available).
Hello Nunawading Tri Club Members
active feet, a sponsor of the club for two seasons, will be hosting an information night exclusive to Nunawading Tri Club Members. This is to be held at their Heathmont Store on:
Friday the 26th March @ 6:30pm
@ active feet Heathmont, 129 Canterbury Road, Heathmont VIC 3135
active feet is owned & run by some of Melbourne's leading sports podiatrists. Years of clinical experience helped identify an opportunity to develop a true technical fitting service, providing this expertise to those who required correct functioning & fitting athletic footwear.
This session will be aimed at those who are interested in learning more about the services available for club members, and provide information on the importance of footwear & foot care for Triathletes. The evening will be ideal for those who are new to the sport/club or for those more experienced members (looking to move into the longer distance races and training in the coming winter months) who have yet to utilize active feet’s services. On the night, we will have a presentation made by Lifecare Podiatrist Scott Murray covering details on lower limb biomechanics, footwear, injury prevention and management.
Following this there will be a shoe fit up review conducted by Podiatry trained active feet staff members. Although not at all an expectation, there will be the opportunity to purchase any product in-store.
All current members would have received two footwear gift vouchers to the value of $30 each in their membership packs, so if you have not already taken advantage of a voucher, this night will be an ideal opportunity. We will also be offering 15% off racing flats and accessories on the night (including body glide, tech socks, nutrition, GPS/Heart-Rate units, clothing etc).
The information night is open to the first 20 members who reply via the chat room or via email/phone Sue or Steve. This message was posted using the Personal Edition of Toast Forums 1.6. Get a free, skinnable ASP message board for your site at toastforums.com! |

These nights are always great and informative. If you haven't been before then I highly recommend it.
Active Feet have been a great sponsor and deserve to get a full house there on the night.

Unfortunately, Lee and I cannot make it - we will be supporting our ironman athletes up at Port Mac!
I encourage everyone to make the effort to attend this great night. Active Feet have a wealth of knowledge on all things running and provide some terrific discounts to club members on the night.

| I do appologise about that Hoff. We were only given a certain number of discount vouchers. I will contact Active Feet tomorrow and let them know and give them the names of members who would not have received their vouchers so you can also get the discount.

We can't expect one of our major sponsors to run an information evening for only 5 people. If we do not get more people, we will have to cancel the night and reschedule it.
Active Feet has given a lot of time and expertise to the club as well as some great discounts and przie packs for the end of season presentation. I feel the least they deserve is the opportunity to have a good turnout. They have organised podiatrists and employees to to work back.
Anyone???

I'd love to come along but am busy this friday night. I actually dropped in to the Camberwell store yesterday for some advice after a bit of lateral knee pain during/after some recent runs. Walked out with a new pair of sneakers and a much better understanding of my feet and knees (and what stresses the wrong shoes can cause!). I'm hoping this helps things a bit as I slowly increase my running distance!

Good morning Nuna-Tri Club Members,
Due to multiple factors, unfortunately we will have to postpone this evenings active feet – Nuna-Tri in-store event. We hope to host another evening in the near future for all of those who are keen to learn about anything feet & footwear (including details about barefoot running!).
I would like to thank, and thus apologise to those who had put themselves on the list to attend this evening. I will have the details out on the events new date as soon as possible.
Thank you very much again. Regards, Brett Payne Manager active feet Heathmont (03)9876 9211 This message was posted using the Personal Edition of Toast Forums 1.6. Get a free, skinnable ASP message board for your site at toastforums.com! |
