As part of the Play it Safe by the Water program, Triathlon Victoria is supporting triathlon clubs like NunaTriClub with swim buoys to increase awareness of the risks associated with swimming and recreational activities at coastal and inland waterways.

Mal loves triathlon, multi-sport and endurance events. He always has a smile on his face and will cheer and encourage others, even when racing himself. Over 10+ years at NunaTriClub, Mal has been an active member, competitor, volunteer, webmaster, supporter, leader and an energetic inspiration to others.
We celebrate your superhuman performances and elite status as one of the best in the world. You truly are a legend ❤️!!!
Here’s a quick recap of Mal’s incredible 2022:
May: Ultraman Australia 23:17:18. Finished 2nd. Day 1: 10km swim & 145km bike, Day 2: 280km bike, Day 3: 84km run.
Jun: Ironman Cairns - 9:52:39. Finished 10th in Age Group, qualified for World Champs.
Oct: Ironman World Championships at Kona, Hawaii – 10:12:42. Finished 33rd in Age Group and 115th fastest male overall 👏🏻😊 .
Nov: Ironman 70.3 Melbourne - Volunteer Team leader at aid station number 1.
2022 Totals for Swim, Bike & Run:
Distance: 10,916kms
Time: 607hrs 23mins

Xmas Crucifix Ride - epic wrap to an incredible year. Congratulations to all who attempted 1+ climbs. Some did 4 climbs to complete the Crucifix 70kms + 1600m ascent. Some rode on more clocking 100+kms with 3000+m ascent. And a few completed the double crucifix after a 4am start. What a day ❤️. Thx Aidan for hosting another terrific event 👏🏻😊.
